Job Description

As a Qualcomm Software Test Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of software solutions. Responsibilities include creating and modifying test cases, validating embedded and cloud software, automating testing processes, and ensuring software reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with various engineering teams to develop test plans for Qualcomm’s next-generation technologies that drive a smarter, connected future.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement test plans, scenarios, and scripts to identify software defects.
  • Validate embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, automation, and specialized utility programs.
  • Write functional tests for features to ensure functionality.
  • Assist in identifying, analyzing, and documenting software issues.
  • Collaborate with project teams to meet objectives and enhance product quality.
  • Develop and automate test cases/scripts to improve productivity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of academic or professional experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • Experience with software/system testing, including automation, bug tracking tools, and continuous integration tools.
